- Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs and mini-golf locations have reopened for the scheduled operating hours.
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa remain temporarily closed. Please continue to check back for updates on the reopening timeline.
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is expected to reopen to all Guests on Saturday, October 12.

As of 10am CST, maximum sustained winds of 145 MPH.
Moving northeast at 14 MPH. Milton is currently 160 MI WSW of Ft. Myers and 190 MI SW of Tampa, FL.
All watches and warnings were discontinued for Cancun.
A Hurricane Warning is in effect for:
- Florida west coast from Bonita Beach northward to the mouth of the Suwannee River, including Tampa Bay
- Florida east coast from the St. Lucie/Martin County Line northward to Ponte Vedra Beach
A Hurricane Watch is in effect for:
- Dry Tortugas
- Lake Okeechobee
- Florida west coast from Chokoloskee to south of Bonita Beach

Florida Attraction Closures:
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed Tuesday, October 8th thru Thursday, October 10th. Expected to reopen on Friday, October 11th, if conditions allowed.
- LEGOLAND Florida will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 – Thursday, October 10. Hotel operations continue with limited capacity.
- Gatorland will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 – Thursday, October 10.
- Seaworld Orlando will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 – Thursday, October 10.
- Universal Orlando - Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. today October 9th and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10th
- Universal Volcano Bay will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
- Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

- Disney World Orlando - On Wednesday, October 9, theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM.
- Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM.
- It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10.
- Cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.
- Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating on Wednesday, October 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment.

- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.

- Ferry service to/from Cozumel will be suspended on Tuesday, Oct. 8th. Will resume once the all clear is given.

As of 10am CST, Milton had sustained winds of 155 MPH.
Milton is expected to bring hurricane-force winds across portions of the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula later today and into tomorrow morning. This storm is forecasted to make landfall along the Florida Gulf Coast as a major hurricane on Wednesday.
