What is Hotel's Best Rate Guarantee program?
Hotel is rewarding guests that find a qualifying lower rate for a participating hotel through a third party by matching the rate and offering one of two Best Rate Guarantee Rewards: either 5,000 World of Hotel Bonus Points or a 20% discount on the rate. All claims must be submitted within 24 hours of booking on Hotel.com and meet the Hotel.com Best Rate Guarantee Terms.
What are the requirements for submitting a claim for Hotel’s Best Rate Guarantee?
When comparing rates between Hotel and other sites, if you find a lower qualifying rate than what is offered on Hotel.com, simply submit an online claim form or call your nearest Global Care Center. A representative will review your claim and respond with the status within 24 hours. To qualify, the competing rate must be for the same hotel, same type of room, same number of guests, same dates of stay, same length of stay, same guarantee and cancellation policy, and be booked under the same conditions. The lower rate must meet the Hotel Best Rate Guarantee Terms to qualify (available here).
Do I need a reservation confirmed to submit a claim?
Yes, in order to submit a claim, you must first have a confirmed reservation booked with Hotel.com that is for the same hotel, same type of room, same number of guest, same dates of stay, same length of stay, same guarantee and cancellation policy, and be booked under the same conditions as the third party site. The lower rate must meet the Hotel Best Rate Guarantee Terms to qualify.
If I am able to find a lower qualifying rate, how do I contact Hotel?
You may submit an online claim form or call your nearest Global Care Center. A representative will review your claim and respond with the status within 24 hours.
If I find a lower rate after I already booked my reservation on Hotel.com, can I still qualify for Hotel's Best Rate Guarantee?
Yes – if you find a lower qualifying rate within 24 hours of making your reservation on Hotel.com, simply complete the online claim form or contact your nearest Global Care Center. A representative will review your claim and respond with the status within 24 hours.
What rewards can I receive if I have a qualifying lower rate?
If your claim is found to be valid, Hotel will then match the competing rate, plus you may select one of two Best Rate Guarantee Rewards: either 5,000 World of Hotel Bonus Points or an additional 20% discount on your matched room rate. If selected, the 5,000 World of Hotel Bonus Points will be applied within one week after checkout.
What is a qualifying rate? How will I know if my claim is valid?
All claims will be handled and responded to within 24 hours of submission. The representative reviewing your Best Rate Guarantee claim will review the website where the lower rate was found and ensure it is for the same hotel, same type of room, same number of guests, same dates of stay, same length of stay, same guarantee and cancellation policy, and be booked under the same conditions and meets the Hotel Best Rate Guarantee Terms. If the claim qualifies, Hotel will match the competing rate and honor your selection of the Best Rate Guarantee Reward.
